Religiosity in Tere Liye’s Janji novel (an Approach to the Sociology of Literature)

Novel Janji is one the novels that tell story of journey a religious school child who looking for former student decades ago. The author describes children being able to search someone disappeared ago according their teacher’s instructions. This study uses literary sociological analysis approach. results show in novel contains five dimensions religiosity, namely dimension belief, ritual, experience, knowledge, and consequential dimension. In it can be seen character's belief doing good, not committing acts corruption, using money worship. ritual dimension, religiosity implementation daily prayers, ablution before prayer, Friday expressions, Idul Fitri prayers. addition, experience bad things, character studying at school, eating inappropriate food years. knowledge value concept sin, halal haram, obligation pray times day, treasures as entrusted world, stories prophets past. At end, appears actions characters present which are based on experiences
